Oh no, the NFL hasn't run out of stupidity yet. Someone will part with a first rounder or more to the Pats for him.

Belichick HAS to have a secret hideaway where no one can see him rolling on the floor laughing his ass off at their stupidity. Might share it with their GM too.

Jim Bob Cooter has to be the coolest NFL coach name ever. Need to keep him around just for that, if nothing else.

The Steelers have an exceptionally high level of institutional culture. There aren't many franchises like the Steelers. IMO, the best head coaches aren't actually coaches calling plays - they are team leaders and more like team managers. Tomlin appears to be terrific at that. There is zero doubt that Billy B is a terrific team manager in New England the way he can exchange parts so easily.

A coordinator moving to HC gives up play calling so why is their performance as coordinator deemed important?

Jim Bob Cooter would be the coolest name for a NASCAR pit crew chief. Not for the NFL.

Looks like Texans HC Bill O'Brien's job is safe for another week.

Former Bills HC Doug Marrone will be named the new Jacksonville Head Coach.

Tom Coughlin to be hired as executive VP.

That old unnamed source still claims that there is friction between 10 year GM Rick Smith and HC Bill O'Brien.

I would love to see a power struggle won by a coach for a change.

    .
GM Rick Smith is the one on the hottest GM hot seat in the NFL. He's the one who engineered (overruling O'Brien's concerns) spending $70 million+ for Osweiler based on what? 5 or 7 NFL starts.

The Bills have “zeroed in” on Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott as their next head coach, Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News reported Tuesday night.
Carucci wrote that the Bills and McDermott could have a deal finalized “in the next day or so.”

McDermott, 42, interviewed with the 49ers on Tuesday and previously interviewed with the Chargers in addition to the Bills. McDermott just finished his sixth season as defensive coordinator of the Panthers and prior to that held the same role with the Eagles.

I'm hoping he says no thanks to the Bills and takes the Chargers job.

The rumor is that any minute now John Elway will announce they have picked Vance Joseph the current DC of the Miami Dolphins.

So all the other GMs can exhale now that the Rooney rule story disappears for another year.

Doesn't matter. Same crowd just different seats.

PFT- There’s nothing like another team moving to town to get the Rams to hire a coach.

One day after giving Washington offensive coordinator Sean McVay (30) a second interview, the Rams will be making him the youngest head coach in NFL history.

Well, I guess making a splash with a big name hire to help sell luxury suites wasn't very important.

Good to see the NFC West will have a doormat for a couple of years.

And a matching pathetic AFC West team to "fill" that LA stadium now.

LA Chargers set to name Buffalo OC Anthony Lynn as their new HC.

They figure they might garner more jersey sales than Rams by hiring a black HC.

    Some interesting coordinators moves......

Recently fired SD head coach Mike McCoy becomes the new OC in Denver, why don't these fired coaches ever take a year off and go to Hawaii and still collect 16 NFL paychecks.

Wade Phillips who turns 70 this year was named the Rams new DC and will teach 30 year old Rams HC Sean McVay how not to get fired 3 times.

Plus Wade can play the big scary guy in the background who stops players trying to get over on Opie Cunningham.

I am surprised Gus Bradley is not getting any DC sniffs. I hope he returns to Seattle, maybe assistant DC or something.

PFT-Texans coach Bill O’Brien has opted for something more definitive and less philosophical regarding his future with the team.

“I’ll be back next season, I’ll be the Texans head coach,” O’Brien told reporters after Saturday’s 34-16 loss to the Patriots. “I’ll be back next season, like I said, I have a five-year contract. This was year three, and like I’ve also said, I need to do a better job
