Default What's the farthest you've driven in a single stretch?

About 5 years ago I drove solo from Portland Oregon to Anaheim California.
Left at 4am.. arrived at 7pm.
That's 15 hours straight with fast food/piss breaks only.
    1000 miles.

    You?

Virginia to Florida and then back to Va in less than 48 hours. Drove down for a dog in a kill shelter I saw online.

Was a spontaneous decision and she is by far the most chill, obedient and affectionate dog. It's like she has the soul of an abused child who realizes she's been rescued.

Yes yes, we have some dogs up here, but dogs get adopted out ridiculous fast here. The shelter is a kill shelter too, but dogs only last about 4-5 days before they get adopted, ignoring the week the shelter holds them as unadoptable "lost pets". So there was no guilt for going so far.

She looks like Ghost from GOT. Just smaller.

About 900 miles. I think it took about 16 or 17 hours with food and piss stops.

Georgia to PA. And then another 900 miles back the next day.

My brother drove from Arizona to NC in one stop. But he had lots of cocaine and no need for sleep. Moron.

That's how I viewed the Florida dog adoption. Do something you wouldn't normally do. Just do it and realize you are making a unique memory a lot of people don't do.

The three that come to mind.
Winston Salem Nc. to my house, little over 1200 miles, took right at 24 hours with stops.

My house to DT's ranch in Texas, 14 hours.

Houston to my house, 13 hours.

Used to do round trips to Denver and back when I was trucking otr more times than I can remember. Those were 12 hours drive time.

Coarsegold to Grand Canyon, 650 miles in one day, on a Ducati 900 with 8 riders, only one other had a sportbike, and his CBR600 was a couch compared to mine.

Had to swap a car in Denver and be back by Monday, was supposed to leave Friday night - huge snowstorm.

Left Iowa on Saturday afternoon, drove to Denver (around 900 miles), spent about an hour swapping the cars, ate at Denny's, drove back to Iowa.

The entire trip took about 30 hours.

That is impressive. Damn, hope you nursed that moons over my hammy long enough to drink a gallon of coffee.
